Think Big Little: Like her cousin, The Big House, the Little House serves as the perfect destination for residents of the surrounding Oak Hills community. Not only is the Little House a gateway to the shimmering Crystal Lagoon nestled in the wooded outskirts of Columbia, but it also provides functional space for the homeowners' association to achieve its goals for the growth and prosperity of the Oak Hills community.

First to the Finish

The conceptual design process is a marathon, not a sprint. It is our job to help our clients understand what they are looking for in their projects and what goals they aim to achieve. This requires presenting various options for clients to consider, which in turn helps inform the design direction. Not every option will be a winner, and sometimes it involves going back to the drawing board.

Red Tape Revolution

With sites across the country, we are always prepared for every phase of a project that requires local, state, or federal approval. In this instance, each building for the Oak Hills Lagoon development serves a specific purpose to help the lagoon meet regulatory requirements. We collaborated closely with Kimley-Horn, our landscape architects and civil engineers, to design the buildings in a way that meets the needs of the lagoon and its users.
