We embarked on an inspiring project to breathe new life into a historic gem in the City of El Campo. The city planned to transform a charming 1930s home, a beloved part of the community for decades, into a new public works facility. To start, we surveyed and documented the house, creating detailed as-built drawings. With these in hand, we explored renovation and expansion options to better meet the needs of the public works team. Our comprehensive approach included a thorough architectural and ADA review, along with a structural analysis, ensuring the home would serve its new purpose effectively and beautifully.

Documenting the Existing

We took a scenic route down Highway 59 to the City of El Campo. Upon arrival, we snapped photos, took measurements, and noted any damages. This comprehensive approach allowed us to create detailed as-built drawings, preserving the unique character of the property while laying the groundwork for its future transformation.

Design Exploration

We explored a range of design options for the City of El Campo home, diving into various parking layouts and building configurations. This included options that worked with the existing conditions of the site and proposals for a brand-new facility. We brainstormed how to best integrate functionality with aesthetic appeal, ensuring that every design choice not only fit the city's needs but also enhanced the overall experience of the space.
