We were given the opportunity to foster a relationship where community needs drove thoughtful design. With dedication and care, we crafted concept designs to address the longstanding needs of the City of Angleton. This proposal aims to inform the city about the minimum requirements for building a functional and welcoming animal shelter. Our plans emerged from a detailed process involving room data sheets and blocking exercises, all shaped by collaborative meetings with our client. Our goal was to create designs that reflect the essential needs while offering a warm, inviting space for both animals and visitors, ensuring that every detail contributes to a better experience for all.

Cost & Site Analysis

We created various graphics, including 2D plans and 3D models to visualize the facilities desires. These renderings helped our clients envision their shelter animals new home in and engage donors. Ultimately, our goal was to design a compassionate and functional space for all animals well-being and encourages positive interactions between people and their potential new family member.

Site & Plan Studies

We used the previously gathered information to develop detailed plans that include separate zones for different animal needs, isolation areas, social spaces, and administrative offices. We prioritized comfort and well-being through climate control, noise reduction, and ample natural light. Innovations such as modular kennels, sustainable materials, and behavioral enrichment areas enhance the shelter’s functionality and environmental impact.

Our role in designing this animal shelter involved creating a space that balances functionality, aesthetics, and empathy. We began our process by meeting with our clients to better understand the shelter's needs, including clean housing, functional medical areas, adoption facilities, and community engagement areas.
